    How our Ecologists help

Whether you’re in the initial planning phases or managing an active project, we can undertake the fieldwork, mapping, and compliance required to keep your project moving forward smoothly. We understand local council requirements and regional ecosystems, working hard to protect native flora, fauna, and their habitats.

    Our ecology consultants undertake:

    • Terrestrial flora and fauna surveys to identify local wildlife and plant species on site.
    • Ecological mapping & GIS services providing multi-platform data collection, data analysis, and online or static map production.
    • Biodiversity monitoring and assessments to track ecosystem health over time.
    • Environmental impact assessments to evaluate how your project interacts with the surrounding environment.
    • Environmental construction management: Overseeing compliance and impact mitigation during the construction phase.

We’re a multidisciplinary consultancy, so our ecologists collaborate closely with our in-house civil engineers, town planners, bushfire planners, environmental engineers and environmental services teams to deliver seamless project outcomes.

Navigating the Biodiversity Offsets Scheme (BOS)

The Biodiversity Offsets Scheme (BOS) enables the impacts of development on biodiversity to be avoided, minimized, and offset. It provides a consistent, transparent way for development to proceed while still protecting our environment.

Entry to the scheme is triggered by projects that meet certain thresholds for impacts on biodiversity. When the BOS applies to your proposal, you must engage an Accredited Assessor to apply the Biodiversity Assessment Method (BAM).

With a team of in-house Accredited Biodiversity Assessors, we ensure these complex assessments are completed with technical expertise and efficiency. To help you get started, we’ve put together a BOS INFORMATION SHEET or you can contact one of our assessors directly to discuss your specific obligations.
